Morocco is a charming and exotic country just a few hours away from Europe. It has a great variety of landscapes from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert as well as the coast, a variety of human settlements such as the big imperial cities full of history, fortified kasbahs or small Berber mountain villages. This destination is the perfect mix of adventure, culture and scenery, without needing to travel too far or too many days. We offer tailormade trips to explore the desert, gorges and kasbahs of Morocco, combining sightseeing with cultural activities. You can complement these trips with others we offer in the Atlas Mountains to do trekking and visit Berber villages.

We can offer you the following itineraries in the Sahara Desert and some of the valleys nearby, from 3 days to 7 days of duration. We give an overview of every possible itinerary; please, ask us if you would like to see the detailed itinerary day by day. If you want to add trekking days in the Atlas, you can check our trips of Berber villages and mountains of Morocco. If there is any other place that you wish to visit and is not included in any of our trips, check with us and we will try to include it in your itinerary.
MARRAKECH TO FES VIA THE SAHARA TOUR
Option 1: 3 day 2 night trip
This tour departs from Marrakech and drive to Ouarzazate, with a stop to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. We continue on the road of Thousand Kasbahs through the Rose Valley until we reach the Dades Gorges to spend the night. The next day we go to Todra Gorges and then drive to Merzouga where we will have a camel ride to see the impressive dunes and spend the night in a nomadic tent. On the last day we continue the camel ride at sunrise and after breakfast we will head to Fes. We will pass the towns of Rissani and Tafilalet, the Ziz Valley, the cedar forests of the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages of Azrou and Ifran.
Option 2: 4 day 3 night trip
Departure from Marrakech and drive to Ouarzazate, visiting the kasbahs of Telouet and Ait Benhaddou along the way. The next day we will drive along Rose Valley and Dades Valley, and we will stay in Todra Gorges for the night. On day 3 we will drive to Erg Chebbi, a dune field of about 22 Km from north to south, with several oasis. We will stop at Erfoud (known for its fossil factories) along the way. On arrival to Erg Chebbi, we will start our camel trek and will spend the night in a Berber tented camp. On the last day we will drive to Fes, passing the Ziz Valley, the cedar forests of the Atlas, and the towns of Midelt, Azrou and Ifrane.
ERG CHIGAGA CAMEL TREK
The camel trek in the Sahara Desert will give you the opportunity to explore the dunes, and watch breathtaking sunsets and skies filled with stars. There are camel treks from 1 day to 8 days, and different itineraries. The 8 day itinerary departs from Ouarzazate and pass places such as Draa Valley and Zagora, but the actual camel trek starts in Plateau Faija. You will ascend to some passes and walk in some famous dunes such as Chegaga and Bougern. 5 days of walking (5-6 hours per day) and camping under the stars.
SAGHRO VOLCANIC MASSIF TREK
The Jebel Sargho (highest point 2712 m) is a region of the Sahara lying between the Draa and the Dades valleys, made up of volcanic peaks, deep gorges, abandoned kasbahs and small villages. There are two possible itineraries:
Option 1: 7 day 6 night trip
The trek starts in the village of Tagdilt (1670 m) and it goes to the foothills of Jebel Sahgro. From there you will climb over the Kouaouch Pass (2500 m), before descending through spectacular cliffs and waterfalls to arrive at the small village of Igli. On day 4 you will climb up to a high ridge and from there you will follow a valley to the Berber village of Boulouze. The next days you will descend through gorges and pass several villages before arriving to Nkob, the last destination before returning to Marrakech.
Option 2: 6 day 5 night trip
Transfer from Marrakech to Nekob on the first day, continue to oasis of Tifdassine and Irhazzoune n’Imlass on the second day and get to the village of Boilouz along the Amguis Valley on the third day. On day 4 you will climb 700m to Tassigdelt, passing the small village of Igli on the way, and the day after you will reach the summit of Kouaouch (2600 m). The last day you will walk down to the Dades Valley, crossing Iferd (2450 m) on the way, and then return to Marrakech. An ideal region for trekking between October and May.
The price per person per day is approximately €85 (2-6 people), €75 (7-10 people) and €65 (from above 11 people). Please, tell us which trip you would like to do and how many people are in your group, and we will give you an exact quote.
This price includes:
– Transfers from airport to Marrakech and transportation during the whole trip.
– Guiding services and camels (for the desert).
– Accommodation for every night of the itinerary and camping equipment.
– All the meals during the itinerary.
This price does not include:
– Flights: Everyone has to book their own flight.
– Insurance: Everybody is responsible for their own insurance and a copy of your insurance documents must be sent to us at least two weeks before the start of the trip.

Desert, gorges and kasbahs of Morocco is a trip for private groups from 2 to a maximum of 20. The price of the trip will reduce with the number of members in the group.
