County Devon is a very special place for us because this is where we are located and from where we operate our business. In the time we have been here we have discovered amazing places that we would like to share with you. Starting with Totnes, our base and our adopted home, which is the world’s first Transition Town and recognised as a leading light in the sustainability movement. You can do a transition tour and learn from this global movement by meeting the people involved, and even attend one of their many activities or events. In Totnes you can also discover some of the architecture and history that have remained in the many old buildings that still exists. You can also visit Exeter, the capital of county Devon and one of the oldest cities in the UK. But Devon is especially a paradise for outdoor activities like canoeing in the River Dart, hiking in Dartmoor National Park or in the famous South West Coast Path, sea kayaking near the beautiful coastal town of Dartmouth, etc. Finally you can also stay in one of the many organic farms, permaculture communities or rural hotels that are present in this area, or even volunteer there for a few days.
These are the places that you can visit and activities you can do in our rural trips in Devon. If you want to add more places and other activities, please check with us about the possibilities. We can propose an itinerary according to the places you wish to visit and the number of days available, but we are open to your suggestions.
We can prepare a tour adapted to your interests and expectations. If you are interested in the Transition Town movement, we will offer you a transition tour that will allow you to learn about it in a fun and interactive way. You will meet some people of the community that are involved in this movement and they will explain their projects to you. If you are more interested in the cultural and historical heritage, we can prepare a tour to show you some of the more relevant buildings of the town. You can also walk along the river to the nearby village of Dartington and visit the beautiful Dartington Hall and its gardens. Finally we can also offer you a pub crawl to try some of the local beers.
You can do a guided tour of this beautiful city, the capital of county Devon and one of the oldest cities in the UK. Enjoy the Roman ruins, the Anglican cathedral and the many parks and green areas. It is also a modern city with many facilities.
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK
Southern England’s largest expanse of upland; home to some of Britain’s earliest settlers and source of the River Dart, as well as countless tales, myths and legends. We can prepare hiking trips for different levels of fitness, from easy walks to more demanding treks. We can show you the West or the East of the national park, depending on your interests. Our walks combine scenery with archeological and historical sites, and you will learn from these places with the explanations of our guide. There is also the possibility of visiting traditional upland farms with interesting projects of renewable energies. We can arrange accommodation for you at hostels, bunk houses or campsites located in the heart of the park.

In your journey, you will cross the rich farmland of South Devon, enjoying the beautiful scenery at a slow pace. Your journey will finish at the oak-lined estuary that forms part of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
